Botanical Prints: Best In A Bunch!

Posted on May 23 2017

Welcome to my first blog!

I have collected botanical illustrations for many years and have used them in several different homes. I think that they add so much character to any space. Some of my prints have been quite expensive but others I have found in antique stores for a nominal fee.

When hanging these prints, I find that their true beauty comes to life when hung in a group. I usually do a group of six but have seen groups of eight that look wonderful. In a small powder room you might find that one or two will suffice. Keep the groupings similar: The same artist, same scale, colours etc. I like prints that have some white space around the perimeter because when hung as a group they can look quite heavy if the graphics are too large.

Have some fun experimenting with botanical prints. There are some really beautiful ones available at a reasonable price. I tend to use simple antique gold frames and have found that they make an excellent alternative to wallpaper because you can cover a large space and make quite a dramatic statement.

These are the prints that you did for my kitchen! They look absolutely stunning Sarah. I almost wish that you were keeping them a secret but they look to good not to share. I think that I might have to add those Cherries to the pantry.

    Love what you do!
